How can I take the PMP Certification Exam if I live in Hyderabad?

If a person has a bachelor's degree or a global equivalent, he/she requires 3 years (36 months) of non-overlapping professional project management experience along with 35 hours of formal project management education

 

For a person who wishes to take a Project Management Certification Hyderabad, he/she has to follow a standard procedure to get through the same. He/she will have to take up project management training in Hyderabad or online training from elsewhere. The procedure followed is as stated below:

 

1) The first step is to apply for giving the examination

In this step, the person needs to validate his/her project management experience and education.

Also, the exam fee has to be paid here. The fee structure is as follows:

405$ for PMI members

555$ for non-PMI members

 

2) The second step is to take the project management professional examination. The exam has 180 questions out of which the breakdown is as follows:

1) People: 42% of questions

2) Process: 50% of questions

3) Business environment: 8% of questions

 

The syllabus consists of 6 lessons:

a) Course introduction

b) Create a high profile team

c) Start the work

d) Do the work 

e) Keep the team on track

f) Keep the business environment in mind

 

3) The third and last step is to maintain the certification. This can be done by earning PDUs which are professional development units.

These PDUs can be renewed by attending courses, seminars, or webinars and also by volunteering.

 

Talking about the exam as a whole, the person must opt for certain coaching classes because cracking exams like PMP require proper guidance and counseling. Also, he/she needs to follow the 6th edition of the PMBOK guide. The PMP certification is valid for 3 years after which it needs to be renewed.
